It is usually takes place on the trird sunday in September and last about three hours, it's suitable for all ages. This tour was given a honorary title for the best regional tour in OE Ljubljana in 2016, at a tender for the best theme tour under a slogan My country – beautiful and hospitable, organised by the Tourist association of Slovenia. 

The purpose of this tour is to pay respects to the father of Slovene literature, whose birth place was in the neighbouring village of the same municipality. A memory of counts of Turjak is revived because they supported the protestants and we also revive the memory of the era when this parish was much bigger than today.

 The tour programme:

• at 9 am departure from Dom krajanov Turjak (bus stop)
• walk through a forest study path to Trubar's homestead at Rašica, where you will learn something new about the father of Slovenian literature
• continuing to the church of St Kancian in Škocjan, were Trubar was baptised - by explaining the history of the parish
• arrival at Gradež where the traditional Holiday of dried fruit is taking place - see next page!
