For many years, this has been the numerically largest exhibition of nativity scenes in Slovenia. 281 were erected last year, and more than 350 before the epidemic.
The nativity scenes are usually display in houses, small chapels, cellars, granaries… and in open air, they are smaller than one cm and sometimes enormous. We can’t come up with any more ways of making the scene, we have tried everything. The authors are the villagers and also people from other Slovene towns, in the last years many cribs have been brought from abroad.
On certain days, we prepare:
- sguided tours to all the scenes
- process of making the festivity scene is put on display
- holiday market
- hot drinks and something for the hungry.
At the opening of the exhibition there will be a short Christmas concert, We also organize an exhibition of "poprtnik" (Christmas bread) and if it is possible a surprise for the youngest visitors.
