The eighteenth nativity scene exhibition was held from December 21, 2025 to January 5, 2026. At the opening, 365 nativity scenes were on display, and by the end of the exhibition, the number had increased to 371. As every year, there were a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and made of all possible materials, and many were new.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Mayor Matjaž Hočevar, President of our Association Lojze Senčar and Exhibition Manager Marko Šavli spoke a few words. At the opening and closing of the exhibition, the Krheljčki sang Christmas carols, at the opening also the women's choir of the DU Velike Lašče Marlenke, and at the closing also the parish choirs from Škocjan and Zaplana. On January 2, Slavko Rus from Ribnica enlivened the event with a manger. At the opening and closing of the exhibition, we could observe making nativity scenes by Tomaž and Lado Jakob (carving), and Beti Šavli and Mateja Jakob Oven (lace making).

The tour was conducted during the published hours on all days, accompanied by guides. Visitors could warm up with a hot drink, on some days they were sweetened with roasted "mice", and at the end they were delighted with the tasting of Christmas bread (poprtnik). At the opening, in addition to our stand, there were several other vendors with delicacies or products suitable for gifts.

As usual, the nativity scenes were placed in outbuildings, in the new extension of the drying room, in the chapel, on windows, under haylofts and sheds, in an imitation of an underground cave, and outdoors. The newly fallen snow on Christmas and the last day of the exhibition provided an even more idyllic atmosphere.

Articles about the exhibition were published in Dnevnik and Slovenske novice, and there were also announcements on several radio stations.

There will be more in the next Trobla, including collected impressions of individual visitors.Trobli, tudi zbrani vtisi posameznih obiskovalcev.
